Welcome to St. Elia's Villa.
Your hosts, Lazaros and Tasia were both born on this mythologically renowned island of Ithaca where Ulysses sailed the seas of the Cyclops and the Sirens before returning to his wife Penelope after many, treacherous years. This leaving and the inevitable and yearned for return is a tradition many Ithacans have maintained to this day.
The Vasilopoulos family too, spend 20 years in Durban, South Africa, where Lazaros owned a restaurant with his brother George before he, together with his family, returned to their beloved island, known to the locals as Ithaki, where they enjoy the tranquillity and the beauty not yet spoiled by the modern world.
While Lazaros makes his own wine, Tasia cooks up a Mediterranean feast. They speak fluent Greek and English and will welcome you no matter which language you speak. Enjoy your stay in one of their comfortable rooms, all fitted with air conditioning for those Greek summer nights, enjoy their hospitality and the great views of Cephalonia and Polis Beach below. |
